Beamrider
Beamrider is a space shooter game released by Activision for the Atari 2600 console. It takes place above Earth's atmosphere, where a large alien shield called the Restrictor Shield surrounds Earth. The player's goal is to clear 99 sectors fighting alien ships while piloting the Beamrider ship, equipped with infinite short-range shots and a limited supply of torpedoes.
Beamrider has 99 levels in total. To advance to the next level, the player must destroy fifteen white enemy ships. A "Sentinel Ship" will then appear, which can be destroyed using a torpedo for bonus points. The enemy will try to destroy the player's ship with laser shots and bombs. Occasionally, "Yellow Rejuvenators" (extra lives) appear.
