Mr. Do!
The Circus Comes to Atari 2600: Mr. Do! Brings Strategic Digging and Arcade Action Home!
NEW YORK, New York — Coleco, in partnership with Universal, officially announces the release of Mr. Do! for the Atari 2600 video game system. Based on the 1982 arcade megahit, the game puts players in control of a brave circus clown armed with a bouncing power ball, navigating underground tunnels filled with pursuing monsters.
In Mr. Do!, players must collect all the cherries scattered across the screen or defeat all approaching enemies (known as Wicklers). Unlike traditional dot-munchers, the labyrinth is forged dynamically by the player as they carve out passages through solid dirt, creating custom escape routes and tactical drop zones.

The Pac-Man Challenger: Upon its arcade release, Universal designed Mr. Do! as a deep, feature-rich challenger to the maze-genre dominance of Pac-Man, adding weapons, morphing enemies, and falling hazards.
Clever 8 KB Port: Fitting the arcade's shifting mechanics and smart enemy pathfinding onto the 1977 Atari 2600 required an expanded 8 KB cartridge engineered by Coleco's skilled software team.
Evolving Enemies: Standard red Wicklers could mutate into faster, more aggressive Alpha Monsters if players spent too much time lingering in one area.
Varied Stage Layouts: The home version preserved the escalating difficulty curve and changing screen designs to keep arcade fans challenged.
