Basketball
Basketball is an Atari game developed by Alan Miller for the Atari 2600 console and released by Atari in 1978. The cartridge features a simple one-on-one basketball game playable by one or two players.
At the start of the game, both players are at center court. A jump ball is tossed between them to start play. The player on offense always faces a designated shooting basket, and defense players always face the opponent. Each player can move in eight directions with the joystick; the player with the ball dribbles constantly. The defense player can steal the ball when it leaves the opponent's hands.
