Air-Sea Battle is one of the launch titles for the Atari 2600 (VCS), released in September 1977. Developed by Larry Kaplan, it was one of the nine games available when the system launched. It was originally titled Target Fun in Sears stores.
The game is essentially a collection of shooting gallery mini-games. Players control cannons, missiles, or torpedoes to shoot at moving targets like planes, ships, blimps, or clown targets. There are 27 game variations in total, offering different combinations of vehicles and weapons. It is designed primarily for two players competing for the highest score, though single-player practice is possible.
