Dragster
Dragster is the first game developed by Activision, released in 1980 for the Atari 2600. The goal of the game is to drag race against an opponent or the clock. The player can race alone or with a second player. In the game, the player must shift gears at the right time to reach the finish line as fast as possible, which is possible in under 6 seconds.
Dragster is famous for a long-standing world record controversy involving Todd Rogers, who claimed a time of 5.51 seconds. This record was later debunked as impossible and removed from Twin Galaxies and Guinness World Records. The best possible time is determined to be 5.57 seconds.
