Fast Food
Released in 1982 for the Atari 2600, Fast Food was developed by Don Ruffcorn and published by Telesys. This is one of the console's most unusual and fun games, mixing fast action and reflexes with humor typical of the Atari era.
Commanding a giant mouth, the player needs to "eat" as much food descending the screen as possible, including burgers, fries, milkshakes, and other snacks, while avoiding dreaded "Purple Pickles" (purple objects that cause game over when accumulating too many).
The game gets faster with each stage, requiring attention and quick reflexes. The digitized narration at the end of the match, with the famous shout "BURP!", is an iconic detail that marked players of that time.
