Spider-Man
Released in 1982, Spider-Man was the first video game starring the famous Marvel hero. Developed by Laura Nikolich and published by Parker Brothers, the game puts the player in the role of Spider-Man, scaling skyscrapers to disarm bombs placed by his arch-enemy Green Goblin.
With unique gameplay for the time, the player uses webs to climb buildings, dodging enemies and avoiding dangerous falls. Currently, the challenge increases with each stage, requiring skill and precise timing to reach the top and prevent destruction. It was a landmark on the Atari 2600 for bringing a licensed hero with gameplay different from conventional arcades.
