Haunted House
Haunted House is an Atari 2600 game written by James Andreasen and published by Atari in 1982. The player, represented by a pair of eyes, navigates the haunted mansion of the late Zachary Graves to recover three pieces of a magic urn.
Considered one of the earliest examples of survival horror, the player must avoid bats, ghosts, and tarantulas. The house is dark, and the player must use matches to see walls and items. Matches are infinite but last only for a short time. Wind from monsters can blow them out.
