Crackpots is a game designed by Dan Kitchen for the Atari 2600 and published by Activision in 1983. In Crackpots, the player controls a character named Potsy who leans out of windows of a building to drop flower pots on spiders trying to climb the walls.
The goal is to stop the spiders from reaching the windows at the top of the building. Spiders appear in different colors (black, blue, red, green) depending on their speed and the level. If a spider enters a window, the player loses a pot from their inventory for future rounds. If enough spiders invade, the building collapses and the game ends. Activision awarded a "Crackpots" patch to players who scored over 75,000 points and sent in a photo.
